Meet The Queen of Contemporary African Music...Ire D Stage Devi

IRE D Stage Devi whose name is Adeola Itandire Adebo is an international music sensation from Ogun state, Nigeria. Born in the eighties, she remains passionate about Contemporary  African music and believes in William Congreve's saying that “Music alone with sudden charms can bind the wandering sense and calm the troubled mind". IRE D stage Devi through her charm, music dexterity, prowess and total theatric performance leaves her audience spell bound. In fact, they never get enough of her!


Her Unique Selling Point is her ability to effectively use yodels/ vocal/chant strength (chants on different keys) to fit highly unique composition.  Aside the lead artiste and manager the band comprises of other talented vocalists, dancers who altogether are passionate about preserving our dying culture and have performed to both local and international audience with great commendation.

IRE D Stage Devi has had many high profile performances which include: The Gambian President's (Yahya Jammeh) birthday party, Kanilai International Cultural Festival Gambia, The Nigerian High Commission in the Gambia, Federal Ministry of Tourism Culture and National Orientation's Stakeholders Conference on the Review of the National Policy on Culture,  International Expo of Arts Organized by National Gallery of Arts and AGAN, The Audio-Visual Awards (TAVA), Late Christy Essien Igbokwe's Tribute night at Night Shift Coliseum, SUN MAN OF THE YEAR awards (Eko Hotel and Suites), Nigeria Heritage Awards, Nigeria Broadcasters Merit Awards, IRE Celebrates, Bogobiri House, Freedom Hall Women Arise Concert-Freedom Park, Yoruba Lakotun @Ethnic Heritage Center, Metro FM Fyne 2.0, SERAS Award, Akwaaba 2015 and Yali Network Dinner/Awards (a Barrack Obama sponsored project).

Her  music video ‘AGBAJOWO’ won the best African video clip at Sica festival which took place at the republic of Benin and has put Nigeria and indeed Africa on a global map through her unique sound and art. Her other songs include: Ajalobale, Funny Journey, Seun Rere (Remix with late Christy Essien Igbokwe), Agbamurere, Jejevi, Jago, Ijeoma, Me Nah Love U (Featured).

She and her manager Henrietta Ikediashi founded a band called IRE D stage Devi and the Colossus in 2009 with the aim of sharing the African story to the world through arts and music. Since coming together as a true African band they have strived to preserve the rich African culture through folklore music and African-styled performances. Henrietta is the Creative Lead, Creativity Development Center, a consummate events Planner/Manager, Producer/Director, Counselor, Public Speaker and an Independent journalist with over 12 years of experience.
