Recession: Sky Bank sack many staff, close branches In Benin city

Due to the harsh economic condition of the country, sky bank close up branch and sack all staff that was working there, it is unclear why the said Branch in Benin city (UBTH BRANCH  ) was closed, but from our finding most banks in Nigeria closes their branches due to the economic situation of the country and many more banks will be forced to close up because some of their branches are not making the profit as of before. It was also revealed that most of the financial institutions were spending more on salaries and overheads than the income from the branches.

The rate at which banks lay off staff is worrisome ,the federal government need to address this issue as a matter of urgency.
Our funds are no longer safe in these banks.
